I. Introduction

What is hands-on activity? Is it helpful to the lives of a students? Hands-on activity is an instructional technique where students play with and manipulate classroom materials to help develop an understanding of the concepts. It exercises the students in a particular area especially in Mathematics. It enables the students to think more and analyze and with that, their mental aspects will develop more.

We know that by doing we will learn something. This hands-on activity is particularly by doing and by that, the students will actually learn. It also enhances and refreshes their minds in a particular area that they tend to forget. Hands-on activity involves fun activities that promote learning to the students. The students will develop more positive attitudes towards mathematics. Mathematics has been traditionally viewed as a discipline where success is limited to a minority as opposed to a majority of children.

Through group interaction, the children were involved in the socialization process of dialoging with one another about, and through, math. Working in groups, the children learned about math, themselves, and others as they problem-solved together and recorded their findings. Students having limited experience working in cooperative groups, limited problem-solving opportunities, and limited success in math required more structure and supervision in the cooperative learning setting.

EdSci 110M is all about Mathematics Instrumentation Workshop. This course helps us to be more competent and be an effective educator someday. It trains us on how to be a good demonstrator that we can apply as one of  our teaching strategy .
This E-Portfolio can really help me and I know that someday I might be using this in my teaching profession. I just want to give thanks to our beloved professor, Dr. Ava Clare Marie O. Robles, Ph. D, in giving us this kind of task because  I  know that it is also for us and most of all, to our God who gives me strength and courage.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope that you've learn something from this.
God Bless us all ! :)
